Coffee with Friends

Good morning,
You were on my mind, so I though I'd share a cup of coffee with you and tell you some of the fun tidbits going on in my life right now.  So grab a cup and join me, I've save you your favorite chair. Lets have some fun friend time.

If we were having coffee this morning I'd tell you about an online recipe swap that I was invited to. It's this Friday. I'm so very excited about co hosting this new link party and I've been planning my recipe for days. I love to cook and can't wait to share one of my favorite dishes. And the best part is everyone will be welcome to join in and add their recipes too.

I'd update you on my cuddles new art table. He still loves it and I'm still not allowed to move out of my chair.
Which I honestly love, but I think I need to make a cushion for it, lol.
And jumbo sized children's crayons are not so easy to color with.

We've nearly filled an entire Disney coloring book with bright and vibrant scribbles. Once it's complete I'll put it in my mommy memory box to save and cherish forever.

I'd tell you about my latest digi. She was a special request from my mama and it just so quirky and cute. We both just love her. She is adorable but so different from my normal girls. I hope to have her inked and colored by Tuesday so that I can share her with everyone.

I'd tell you that I ordered new Copics last week. I was thrilled to see a box on my porch after only 24 hours!
However, I was a little bummed to see that they shorted me 4 markers and sent me an unusual drawing book that I didn't order. Hmmm... so on Monday I will be calling the store and asking if I can trade the book that I didn't order for the markers that I did, lol.
Fingers crossed.

So this has been me and my last few days. I've enjoyed them so very much and loved sharing them with you, but enough about me.
How have you been?
Are you enjoying your cup?

The biggest of hugs to all,
Anna

  1. ahh the joys of online ordering :-) I did indeed feel like we were sitting together having coffee (I'm on my second cup) and actually sitting in an EMPTY house this am. as the hubby is in a golf tournament and the girls spent the night with a friend it's just me and Kiki the dog and Billie & Cuddles (the cats). Nice and mellow morning with Pandora set to James Taylor....

  4. Okay Anna - mine's a hot chocolate. It's 5.45am and I should really be up talking to you but I couldn't go back to sleep so decided I'd get up and make myself a hot choccy! Looks like some great colour choices of copics there. Good luck with sorting the rest of them. I love my copic markers - problem though is when you start you want more. Just as well I have had some extra work a few weeks back and got some extra cash to spend! Could you be colouring with your Mummy sized markers while junior artist colours with his junior sized crayons? Or do you have to colour in his book with him? Even if he picked the colours and they weren't what you would do - you know purple skin or whatever - it would at least be easier to colour! You can tell I've had to negotiate with mine at times to make life easier for myself. Daughter is now 16 and son is 14. Negotiation is near impossible at that age though! Might not be able to chat over drinks for a couple of weeks as my son and I are going to visit my parents. Daughter has a music festival on the holidays (flute) and hubbby has to work so they are staying here! Cheers for now and we'll catch up when I'm back.

  6. HI Anna, Yes, the coffee was good and hot, It is cold cold cold here in Washington State. We are headed home to Arizona. I have to get warm. I love your blog, I haven't been in here for a couple of weeks because my computer went down and I had to wait for Apple to send me a new start up disk. They were wonderful, they are another reason I love my MacBook. They sent me an updated version at no cost. I love having coffee with you and I can hardly wait to see the new "girl" on the block. If you made her, then she has to be adorable. I can hardly wait to get settled next week so I can print out your "girls" and get busy. I so enjoy your blog and how you make us feel so comfortable and part of your life. You are amazing, Well, I am going to go get some more coffee and put on another sweater before my nose freezes and my arms quit working in this cold LOL sending you hugs, Cathy K

  9. Well I don't drink coffee so can I still join you? I'll get my caffeine through a Rockstar. This week I haven't been able to do a whole lot creatively due to personal commitments with the baby and the babies family but on the good side, I have taken the mom under my wing and am helping her learn to craft more. It's fun mentoring. My house is a mess, baby toys everywhere but boy it's fun having one around again after 17 years. She cut two teeth this week so that wasn't much fun. I'm hoping that I can get some crafting in this week. Thanks for inviting me to join you! Hope your week is fantastic, full of hugs and crayons.

  10. What a fun idea you girls have come up with here with this coffeedates here. I really enjoy that and is sooo looking forward to see what amazing recipee´s we+ll get to see here friday and what other fun things we´re going to meet here the next times too. Can´t wait to see your gorgeous new girl, which I´m certain is wonderful as always. I love your gorgeous images, they´re soooo stunning and all my granddaughters just absolutely love them too. And the most exited of them is turning 9 here next Tuesday, so I better go and see if I can´t find one of them that´ll fit her perfectly. Wish there had been one of a crafting girl, as she´s always on to something crafty all the time, so if you would ever like to make one sitting on the floor with all her papers, scissors and tape and stuff spread all around her, that would be my Tascha, when she´s best, and do what she loves the most.
But thanks for the coffee hun, I better get on and see what I can find for my girl. And maybe find a good recipee for her birthdaycake too before friday ? HMMMMM
Have a wonderful day and lots of fun.

  13. Well good morning Anna, thanks for the coffee it sure was good. I had some photos to take this Am so I did it on the patio for better lighting and enjoyed my coffee there. I have just printed a sheet of your "Beautiful Girls" to color today. It looks like rain here but that is ok I can still color on the patio as it is covered. I love sitting out there to color. My neighbors must think I am crazy cause about the only time I am out there now is to color. It is starting to get hot here already and it is only April but have to expect that in Fl. But I love it here and would never live anywhere else. I have to tell you I spent the day Saturday with my two little grandkids here and we colored in their new coloring books. What fun my grandson ask me why I took so long to do one pic and I told him because it looks better when you take your time and stay inside the lines. So he tried it and did a much better job on the sec pic and he said you know gramma your right it does look good. He is 5 and likes to stamp and color with me. I can't wait for him to come up this summer and spend a week or so with me by himself. His Little sister can't stand the fact that we sit and color she wants to play in her playhouse with us. Well enough about me I wish you luck with your recipes and the blog and I can't wait to see the new "Girl" on the block. I love your images!!!! Have a wonderful day and happy crafting. Enjoy that little on while you can they grow up way to fast.
